David and I teach primary. The 4 year olds to be exact. They are quite a handful. They just have so much energy, and still have trouble focusing on a single topic. At one point during our lesson there was a conversation going on about what everyone's swimsuits look like, pool rules, and there was something mentioned about sharks. Nope, that was not what our lesson was about. Sometimes they surprise us though. Sometimes their pure faith and simple knowledge speaks peace to our hearts and we learn far more than we teach.
Today was one of those days.
One little girl asked me if I had a grandma, to which I responded I do. She mentioned that her grandma had died and I said one of mine did too. Then she grabbed my face and looked me straight in the eyes and said "but don't worry because Jesus made it so they will be alive again. He (meaning Jesus) said families forever because He knows we would like to play with them for always".
I love her little testimony. And it filled my soul with peace. I can't wait to play with my little boy (and my grandma) for always. It amazes me how sure they are in their faith. How everything just makes perfect sense. And how they never doubt. Even I have had my doubts about seeing my D3 again. It just all feels so far away, and grief has made me feel so broken that I became unsure of so many things. But for these little people, Heaven is close. Heaven makes sense. And faith is something they don't have to think about, they just have it.
"Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3

7 months
My mom has been asking me for Jax's 7 month pictures since I took them at the beginning of the week-so here you go mom!
Jax has very few calm moments…and when he had one on his 7 month birthday we had to take it. Unfortunately, it was smack in the middle of the day, so the sun is really harsh in the pictures. oh well.
This boy has 4 teeth, hates solid foods, loves his giraffe named bob and his sock monkey (no name). He still wakes up about a million times every night (feels like that much to me), but he is so cute that I don't mind spending the extra time with him.
We love our 7 month old little boy, even though he never lets us sleep. It is so fun to see him grow and watch him learn new things. We are so thankful he is ours forever.
Here are just some other random pictures I have taken:
This little boy loves his daddy. He gives him HUGE smiles when he walks through the door after work and even if he has been cranky with me all day long, he will become super calm and content sitting on his daddy's lap.
I was messing with some camera settings when this cute thing happened. I was so mad I didn't have the right setting on to get a good picture because of course it only lasted a couple seconds.

2014 Goals
So I decided this year I would set 5 goals. Just 5 I can handle. Often I set too many and I find that by the end of the year I mostly accomplished being a complete failure. Not cool. There will also be some "challenges" I want to do. But we won't call those goals. And if I mess up on them, oh well, I challenge myself again the next day.
1. Live Healthier
2. Read the Book of Mormon again
3. Make the bed every morning
4. run 100 miles (yeah seems like a little, but for one that HATES running, that is A LOT!)
5. get dressed more often. So my husband doesn't always have to come home to a frump in pajamas.
Monthly Challenges:
January- learn to run.
February- try the PALEO diet (if I hate it, there are only 28 days I have to suffer through instead of 30-31)
March- Run 1 mile without stopping (yeah sounds dumb, but running is HARD for me)
April-spring cleaning! Clean out my house. Get rid of everything that has not been used since we moved in…1 year ago.
May- Drink nothing but water
June- plan a perfectly simple first birthday party for my Tiny
July- have a great summer vacation with my little family
August- do this 31 day challenge http://www.healthybalancefitness.com.au/2010/10/31-day-challenge/
September- No eating out at all
October- make awesome halloween costumes for the whole family
November- do a virtual marathon
December- Do a christmas activity every day with my boy
