Four Months

Our Tiny is four months old!! Really he is 4 1/2 months old now but he just had his 4 month appointment last night and since I make this blog into a family yearbook at the end of the year, I wanted to write down his stats.

4 Months:
Height: 24.5 inches
Weight: 13.25 lbs
Head: 16 inches

Our little one is still very TINY. In the 10-15th percentile on everything. But his growth curve has gone way up where as his weight curve is starting to level off so the doctor thinks he might be starting to follow the growth curve of his father and will probably end up being tall and skinny.

Right before his physical exam the doctor asked us a bunch of questions about his development. We commented that he wasn't really reaching for stuff yet but would hold something and bring it to his mouth if we put it in his hand. As soon as the doctor started the physical exam he reached up and grabbed her stethoscope as if he knew we were discussing his abilities and wanted to prove his parents wrong. We are in for quite a lifetime with this little one.

He LOVES this giraffe. It's commercial name is Sophie, but we have renamed him Bob.

We love our little boy so much. He loves to scream and cry, but he also loves to give us giant smiles and little laughs.

And since its halloween...

Jax-O-Lanturn

We have been discussing what we wanted Jax to be for halloween for months…and we were having a hard time agreeing. Then we saw a bag of Jax at the store and thought our boy would make a super cute Jax-o-Lanturn! Plus it's kind of a tradition in my family that the first halloween costume is a pumpkin.

(The Bag of Jax)

We found a little farmers market/pumpkin patch really close to our house. I thought it would be fun to take some pictures of Jax there. Of course the sunlight was awful (middle of the day is not the best time to take pictures) and Jax was super tired even though he had actually taken a morning nap (a rare thing for him) so we basically just did the best we could with what he had. At one point a little boy (2-3 year old) said, "look mom, that silly baby is dressed like a pumpkin!". Ha ha. Here is what we got:

We have such a serious kid.

Jax hates the sun and was also getting really tired at this point.

We LOVE our little Jax-O-Lanturn. xoxo

Throwback Thursday

A long time ago (earlier in the year) my cute husband was promoted from a Second Class Petty Officer to a First Class Petty Officer. He JUST sent me the photos a couple days ago. I was unable to attend due to the fact that I was very pregnant and it occurred early one morning right after he got off a 12 hour night shift so he would not have had time to come pick me up.

I kind of find it amusing when they get super serious. I should probably grow out of that before David makes the military a career....or I won't be invited to anything. hmmm now that I think about it, maybe that is the real reason I wasn't there. ha ha

Anyway, Congrats to IS1 Wallace. You work so hard for our little family. Jax and I love you!!
